Pitfalls of Low Price Process Serving and No Service No Fee Guarantee in San Diego

In the past years with more competition for clients on the internet the Process Serving industry has seen the emergence of Guaranteed Process Serving. Most of the potential clients looking for this type of service tend to be self-represented individuals who do not work with Process Servers in San Diego often. We sometimes get asked by potential clients if we are unable to serve an individual do they still have to pay? The answer to this questions is always yes. What our clients are paying for is not guaranteed service, but to have an experienced licensed and bonded process server attempt their service. This is not to say we aren’t motivated to complete a service, on the contrary our completion rate is extremely high, and without satisfied clients who have come to trust our service, we would not still be in business.

The issue with guaranteed service is that it creates too much of motivation for a process server to maybe bend the rules of service. Like any industry there are unscrupulous people who work in process serving although they are a fraction of the process servers in California and San Diego. When process servers can’t serve documents because someone is evading service and them getting paid depends on serving those documents than you have created a bad situation.

Other process servers have also attempted to undercut the market by offering prices significantly lower than everyone else. At eServe San Diego we do offer discounts for our clients depending on the volume of work provider, but our advertised rates are very competitive with the market. When process servers offer such a low rate with the price of gas as it is, and the time that is required to serve documents there either needs to be a hidden cost to your client or a lack of delivering the product at such a low rate.

So what’s the best course of action? If the price seems too low or the deal is too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.
